There are five outreach programs operating in Narooma:
The Drop In Centre (DINC) at the Midtown Arcade (opposite Post Office): an op-shop which also gives people a place to drop in for a cuppa and a chat. DINC also operates a Court Support Group offering tea, coffee and supportive ears on Narooma Court days. Open Monday to Friday 10.00 am to 2.00 pm: Saturday 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. Extended opening hours over the summer holiday period.
Monty's Place, Narooma: a free Community Lunch held each Wednesday between 12.00 noon and 1.30 pm at the Narooma Uniting Church Hall and open to all. Operated by volunteers from both within and outside the Uniting Church, Monty's Place offers good, wholesome food and fellowship. Various bodies hold outreach and support programs at The Charis Community Centre (former manse) in conjunction with Monty's: Anglicare, Eurobodalla Pathways, Legal Aid and Sewacs.
Craft Exchange: Tuesdays 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm at The Charis Community Centre. Sharing fellowship and skills. All welcome.
Fastrack (solt cars): Thursdays 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm. Originally aimed at families this group has attracted some grey haired boys. Join us for a bit of fun. Large track: cars supplied.
DC (Discovery Church): Fridays 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm. This ecumenical group has attracted a large number of participants (10 years old and up). They meet at the Uniting Church complex most Fridays in term time but once a month they are joined by visiting youth groups and meet in the Narooma Community Hall (oposite Nata Oval and the swimming pool).
